Well of course any place in New England is feasible to reach in just a few hours. Factor in the Pats game the 80+ Yo's the fact I would have needed two cars...etc and there you have it.

Also keep in mind that it would have required me to leave 2 18 YO boys alone in my house all day with my liquor cabinet.....well I'd make the same choice again.

My immediate family (wife/kids) is all I care about on the holidays......if I still had my Grandparents I'd be there in a minute. But my family consists of exactly 1 married couple (my wife and I) out of 10 siblings, and two divorced parents that can't be in the same town as each other. The holiday ship has sailed for me.

But if its alright with you can I still imagine a day when Norman Rockwell paintings were reenacted every year in most American homes???
