The irony is Nevada might be the best team BC has played in a bowl in a while, with the possible exception of Boise State in '06. I've been to that bowl twice, SF is a great venue and BC had a pretty good turnout both times (mainly because the school has a lot of west-coast alums and other than a home-and-home with Stanford about 10 years ago, BC never plays out there). The date obviously is awful now and the venue (not SF itself, but the stadium) sucks for football along with the name ("Emerald Bowl" made it sound like a much better game than it is).

Monster choke by Maryland.

This HAS to help Yale's at large chances.

Monster choke? What game did u watch? Maryland never lead by more than five all game. Bc made a ton of shots down the stretch. Bc gave md a shot to tie by missing a front end in final minute.

The captain has this team rolling

I watched the one where Maryland was up 3 and missed 3 FT's in the last minute by 80% FT shooters including a front end of a one and one.

I'm not sure which game you were watching if you don't think they choked.

Not even close to being accurate. The game was tied with 2 mins left and bc led the rest of the way. Maryland was never up 3 that late

The Terrapins failed to score over the final 2:40

After a basket by Williams in the lane and a drive by Adrian Bowie put the Terps ahead 75-72, Joe Trapani made one of two foul shots for BC and a basket by Raji tied it, setting the stage for the thrilling finish.

Not scoring a single point in the final 2:40 at home= choke job

Yeah nobody ever goes 2:40 without a hoop. If anyone almost choked it away it was bc who actually had a lead in the final minute.

3 pt lead with 3 to play. Huge choke. Huge

When 80% ft shooters go to the line with the lead in crunch time and miss 3 in a row (AND can't score at all down the stretch) then that's a choke in my book.

To each his own. I'd hate to take away from BC's big W.

FWIW bc had an 80% shooter miss the front end in the last minute.

80% shooters in college usually arent anywhere near 80 down the stretch.

The difference in the game was bc outscoring md by 30 behind the arc.
