1) with the turkey thawed put it in the pot and cover with water. Measure that and that is the amount of oil to use.

2) you have to babysit the bird all through the process to make sure the oil stays at 350 degrees

3) if the oil catches on fire use a lot of water to put it out. :shock:

You can buy kits and inject the bird with all different sorts of flavoring.....and for the love of god, cook it outside....but deep fried turkey is off the hizzy

Fried turkey is outstanding. I have a friend that fries a bunch of them on T'giving morning and then I'll go pick one up for us. He'll finish about 8am and he'll have it wrapped so tight in aluminum foil it is still piping hot about 4 or 5 hours later when we actually unwrap it.

Fried Turkeys are awesome. We've done it for xmas a couple years.

NOTE: If the Turkey isn't thawed completely, it will explode.
