1999 St. John's lost in the Elite 8 to Ohio St. They were a #2 seed in 2000 and got upset by Gonzaga in the 2nd round.

yeah I looked it up this morning. I remember Artest being there and I think I remember them upsetting Duke in the regular season one year (maybe the same year?) but I don't remember them ever being that good. Whaddya know

Erick Barkley was on that team that beat Duke. He could have been good but he ended up being a waste. I ran into him at the airport around Christmas a few years back when he was traveling with his CBA team. Solid way to spend the holiday.

who was the johnnies Guard that entered the draft after his freshman year, and it was an awful decision. He was good, but still needed another year in college. Right around that same time period.

Not sure if he even got drafted, right after he left shit got ugly.
