I was watching some of the Clemson game vs. NC State last week (flipping during maryland-miami) and Da'quan Bowers is really good. He just kept on making plays.
I've enjoyed Andrew Luck this year, as well, but there's something about him that doesn't inspire confidence about being a #1 pick. Sort of like Alex Smith. I mean, Pac 10 defenses are pretty swiss cheese.
I had this argument already way back in the spring.
Show me a national title contender that didn't have alot of qulaity NFL talent.
I can keep going but FSU, Oklahoma, Va. Tech and Tenn pop up in the next three. Safe assumption there was some NFL talent on those teams.
I want to see LaMichael James a future NFL tailback in the open field against Patrick Peterson rather than the guy pumping gas 5 years from now in Minnesota waiting for the Hartford Generals to give him a UFL tryout.
Oregon is fucked. McShay doesn't see any 1st round talent on that team. Do you think the NFL would agree to hold the draft in December, that way we could have a title game AFTER seeing who really deserves to be there?
Under this nonsense theory, miami should be in the championship every year. Who cares how many #1s they have. Being well coached and playing solid football might mean something. In the immortal words of Tyson, if you don't like it change you're f' ing station
