Restaurant (& Other) Coupon sites

Postby JJ » Thu Nov 04, 2010 4:11 pm

Here are the Boston-area coupon sites that I subscribe-to via email. I probably buy at least one discounted ($25 for a $50 gift cert, etc.) meal each week:

Yelp http://www.yelp.com/deals/boston

OpenTable http://spotlight.opentable.com/deal/boston

Yipit http://yipit.com/

AllMealDeals http://www.allmealdeals.com/blog/

Tippr http://tippr.com/

BuyWithMe http://www.buywithme.com/

LivingSocial http://livingsocial.com/

Groupon http://www.groupon.com/subscriptions/new?division_p=boston

Eversave http://www.eversave.com/boston;jsessionid=3A4AA98C47D988898B244E046D61CD56.app16

WowWhatSavings http://www.wowwhatsavings.com/

Perks http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.667537/n.2/sc.35/category.1376/.f?partner=P00005

CBSBoston.com http://offers.cbslocal.com/boston

Restaurant.com http://www.restaurant.com/

Boston’s Big Deals http://gmb.mediawebconnect.com/

Weforia http://www.weforia.com/deal/boston

Bloomspot http://www.bloomspot.com/

Note 1: For Restaurant.com, the "regular" price for a $25 gift cert is $10, but there are always coupon codes available (Google is your friend) to get 60-80% off that $10 price, bringing it to $2-$4 for a $25 GC.

Note 2: Some of these sites merely accumulate all of the deals together, so there are some repeats/overlap.

It's for the Brookline location, specifically.

Yes, I've been, usually for their marinated steak/turkey tips. Pretty good stuff, but a bit pricey. The marinated steak tips are usually very tender & very tasty.

Interesting selection of sauces, seasonings, marinades, etc.

I've never gotten fresh meat there before, but have no doubts it's pretty good.

Rue La La also just started a Boston one yesterday that will probably be the best of all of them.

Google reportedly bidding 5-6 billion for Groupon. Those 25 dollar gift cards must add up.

I bought a Groupon for a Do-It-Yourself dog wash in Newton a couple months ago and just used it this past weekend. Place was pretty cool. The nail trim alone was worth the $15 I paid for it.
