Does Kevin Youkilis know something we don't? It sounds that may be the case, as the rehabbing all-star told reporters over the weekend that "I'm preparing myself to play third base."
But Youkilis adds that he's preparing to be the third baseman in Boston next year but only because he does not want to be caught off guard. "Because if you prepare yourself to play third base and you play first, it's an easy transition."....
Peter Gammons of MLB.com stated last week in a radio interview that he does not expect Victor Martinez back in Boston next season, which opens the door for the all-star catcher to test the free agent market.
