"The Simpsons are going to Chile!"

It reminds of the bank drive-through case. But bigger. And with people.

Yeah good thing we showed more class when Jessica McClure was trapped in her well. Or as some would call, at the birth of CNN.

These guys are national hero's and their story one of human triumph.

It's a nice ending, lug. But what did they do to become national "hero's"?

I mean, they got put into a shit spot and involuntarily rode it out.

Now we'll have to listen to American media make up syndromes and play armchair shrink. Um, they're not Americans oversaturated in pop culture who lost their Internet for an hour---they're miners in a rural part of South America who'll probably do what they're good at and that's soldiering on.

They have low standards for heroes down there what can I say?

Still pretty impressive
69 days below ground (a record)
1/2 mile under ground in intense heat
33 guys with no baths in a studio sized apartment
a rescue shaft built 2 1/2 months faster than projected

If this had happened in America I wonder if Obama would be waiting outside the hole in the ground. haha

They talked about how the techniques they used here will be copied all a round the world. If it helps save a few American lives give them the hero status.

If getting a stuck in a hole for an extended period of time qualifies you as a "Hero", why is there no RonnieB Day Holiday?
