Just went to the Grooveshark site for the first time today.

Unreal.

whoa. As someone who listens to Pandora around 60 hours a week on my iPhone, I honestly want to know why Grooveshark is that much better.

Unfortunately I looked into the app thing and it said it was up in the app store for five days and got taken down. I wonder if it works for the people who dl'd it when it was there?

Someone posted about it in an old thread and you can basically put any song you want to instantly play and then it works like Pandora but seems like a lot more variety. Somehow it's gotta be illegal.

my only complaint about Pandora is it seems to lock into certain songs to play. Like I said I legit listen to it 60+ hours a week and I have, for example, Blues Traveler entered as a variety band and it seems to play the same 6-8 songs from their catalog. But it really really is the balls

Pussybar: because of Pandora I learned that Kayne sampled Ray Charles for 'Goldigger'.

I had a portable XM player that I got on ebay for like 70 beans like 3 or 4 years ago to see if I'd like it. The only thing was I never had to subscribe...it was always free*. Used it in my car but it shit the bed early this summer so it's been Pandora off the iPhiz since. I'm with you on the variety...same shit over and over.

Lastfm is another one to try....almost exactly the same as Pandora I'd say.

*edit: and they wonder why satellite radio struggles.

so i have been downloading a lot of music lately, more so because my life requires a lot of driving now, and music that i listen to in the car isnt necessarily what i want to listen to out at a bar, or home in my living room... and i have reached the limit on what i can recall for sweet driving songs or listen to in the car music... what are the must haves for everyone? (cue the bashing of this question)....

edit: yes i can and do stream Pandora, but sometimes u need instant gratification.
