Red Sox Bridge 2010

Home of Champions

Along the lines with what mcm said, did anyone believe that they'd actually play this game? Its one thing to delay a 7:05 start until after everyone has parked and gotten a beer, as is Larry Lucchino's MO, but to wait 3 hours? He must have banked on everyone thinking that they wouldn't reschedule a game this late in the season.

I put NESN on around 945 or so and there was a message scrolling at the bottom that the first pitch was going to be approx. 10:05

The organization actually said last week as soon as they were assured a spot in the playoffs that they would rest players immediately. They said they have older players that have been playing hurt and the objective is to win the WS not the division. This shouldn't come as a surprise to you.

They've had two days off, so no excuses Girardi. I want the division and home field advantage. With Tampa and Minnesota losing the last couple of nights, it should only take 2/3 over Boston to get the job done.
The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

Hey Theo, you still think signing Lackey over Halladay was the right move?

No shit. It would have been a sign and trade. But no Theo and the Trio had to keep Lars, Kelly, Bowden etc. I would have given them anything they wanted to get Halladay and not have to have signed Lackey!

Sox had a better chance of getting Hanley than Halladay being traded within the division.

So you pay a premium or get a 3rd team involved to make it happen.

Matsuzaka Remains In Boston’s 2011 Plans

Physical conditioning and improved secondary pitches have placed Daisuke Matsuzaka firmly in Boston’s projected 2011 rotation. A Red Sox source told Alex Speier of WEEI.com that Matsuzaka is “very muchâ€
