My two cents...

- Ellsbury is gone (Once I read the reports about guys in the clubhouse who thought he should be playing the writing was on the wall. Especially after Lowell played with his broken ribs.)

- The Sox HAVE to sign Lee. I don't care if it costs us 22 per season for 6 years...they have to show that they have the ability to outbid the Yanks. Two things happen if they do...1.) They get one of the best arms in baseball, who also happens to be a lefty and proven big game pitcher. 2.) This is a major win in the "psych" department showing fans and the players that they can in fact "outbid" the Yanks if they need to.

- AGon has to be the #4 hitter to start the 2011 season. As I previously stated going into this year...there is nobody in this lineup who scares opposing pitchers. They fill the gaping hole of a big bat and you'll see this offense get a helluva lot better. Ellsbury, Kelly, Anderson should get the deal done.

- Sign Werth over Crawford. Yes, Crawford is the guy everyone is talking about right now. But guess what? Werth has a lot more tread on his tires (he platooned the first 5 years of his career), he's a legit 30/30 guy, and he has a cannon for an arm in the OF (better defensive player than Crawford IMO). Not to mention you'll be able to get him for less.

- Trade Nomo and Drew, re-sign Papi, sign some bullpen arms, re-sign VMart.

Pedroia 2B
VMart C
Papi DH
AGon 1B
Youk 3B
Werth RF
Cameron CF
Kalish LF
Scutaro SS

Lester
Lee
Buch
Beckett
Lackey

There is no fucking way AGon is coming to Boston in any way shape or form.

NONE.

Its fucking stupid to even talk about.

Honestly....stop.

And they're not EVER going to outbid the Yankees for ANY player.

Waste of a post.

a package of kelly, kalish or jack, rizzo or lars, and lowrie is enough to get ANYONE (including pujols) without even touching the MLB team

So you think SD is going to pay him 15-18 mill/season? EPIC FAIL on your part.

That offer would not land the following players (feel free to add):
Pujols
Mauer
Miggy
C. Gonzalez
King Felix
Braun
Posey

Nope, but it will take two things for him to wind up here:

1) they'll have to WANT to trade him and
2) the Sox will have to give up a ton to get him.

Seeing as how both of them won't happen, it really doesn't matter what they'll pay him when he's a free agent AFTER NEXT SEASON.

Go back to SoSH.
