Thousands of Massachusetts teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other municipal employees would have to be laid off, property taxes would rise, and students at the University of Massachusetts, state colleges, and community colleges would see higher charges, if a proposal to cut the state's sales tax passes, according to a new analysis by a respected budget watchdog group.

What, no swarms of locusts descending on the state?
Talk about trying to scare the bejeezus out of everyone.

Couldn't be a bigger joke.

The best part is that there will be sheep who will vote "no" on the roll-back and then will drive 45 miles to Salem, NH to buy their new TV and then not pay the use tax back to MA on the purchase when they file.

I wonder if it's going to come out at 2:30AM like Obama's Biden announcement?

Right? If MA really wants to enforce this, they should buy New Hampshire.

he is a joke. based on his tv spots his entire platform seems to be centered on telling people to leave a college party if someone is drinking.

Guy across the street from me is the kiss of death when it comes to local politics. Every candidate he supports with a lawn sign loses. Say goodnight Deval, Tierney and Polito

That'd be great, but I'd trade the basked of them just to get rid of Barney Frank. I'm hoping our jarhead friend can pull off a Brown in the fourth district.
