Anyone would take Braun over Fielder, but don't dump on him too much since he's the Sox 1B next April.
I'm havin a good time, Jacques Martin's tryin to ruin it.

Fielder in Boston could be exactly what is needed to inject some life into the "fans" who seem to be abandoning the Sox for their going with the horrible pitching and so so defense attack this year. The Yankees are coming in to finish the season so "The Streak" won't end this year but if they sit around this off season letting Papi and Victor go and signing the Scutaro's of the world to replace them this will change in April. I mentioned Fielders 80 RBI's this year but he did have 140 last year so the potential is still there.....Surely the owners have noticed the lack of urgency of fans to pay top dollar to see a "star" less product and if they need reminding I'm sure their partners @ Ace Ticket will let them know.

Are game-winning RBIs useless and meaningless, too?

If nobody was ever on base when Prince Fielder came up to bat, his RBI total would equal his home run total. His job is to get a hit, no matter whether or not there are baserunners. Of course he gets paid to "drive in runs." All position players are hired to not make outs.

Fielder has 32 HR's
26 of them are solo HR's,
5 2R HR's
1 3r HR. 32 HR's good for 39 RBI. Outstanding.
Maybe he's just snakebit and can only hit one when the bases are empty (and there is no pressure). All that production for 11 million.

Braun is also 26, has less HR's but more RBI's and is paid $1,287,500.

Braun signed one of those team friendly long-term extensions a couple years ago. He's not going anywhere.

Somehow I don't see Roy gettin funky on the mix.
It's got to be nice to be a Phillies fan and have a GM that has the balls to go all-in to win a title now and not worry about 2014.

Yeah I mean who wants their team to be in 3 straight WS?

I wonder who said the Sox could and should have EASILY come up with more for Miggy C than the Tigers when it went down?

<<<<hint

I wonder if they could have used him?
