Is there a local lawn care company like Tru-green Chemlawn where you live? I understand its a few bucks a week and they come and spray it down with miracle grow type shit.

If you have kids, I'd think twice before you have them spray your lawn down with Agent Orange. Leave the blade up, water, pull out the weeds.

Guy across the street planted a new lawn last year. He cuts it to putting green length and waters it at 11pm most nights and can't figure out why it looks awful.

This summer was an abberation so any decisions about your lawn has to take this into account.

Scotts is a scam. You can buy the same shit at home depot yourself and do it yourself.

I have a sprinkler system and had to run it twice a day this summer b/c of the heat. Once at night and once in the morning.

Pella here too with wood frames. Things are incredible. Don't do Anderson and have them install. Cost you an arm and a leg. Guy I work with had Anderson come out this past spring about windows and the sales guy asks for a heating bill and says that he could save a 100 bucks a month on heat so about 1200 a year. My co-worker was like, I don't have the heat on in the summer moron. He said their price on install was double anybody else.

Unrelated to windows but I've been talking to the gas company about getting gas to my house or on the entire street. They want to charge 20K to bring it from the main road to the end of the street... and some of the people on my street don't want to change... and the gas company doesn't want to do just half the street.... so I'm still stuck with oil and an electric stove.
