Office dwellers: what's on your screen the most?

I'm working on a harebrained idea that involves fake-office productivity. It'll be a front-end for showing largely text based web content but not look like a traditional web page -- it'll look a lot more business-y from a distance compared to what it is, so casual walk-by's will go largely unnoticed if you spend a lot of time on it.

I know there are a ton of alt-tab people on here...but until this messageboard, I"ve never heard of the alt-tab function, and to this day I've never used it.

I like stories.

Outlook is a fixture on the external monitor, and then I keep Excel/Powerpoint on the laptop screen with an ALT+TAB to IE.

Like McAdam I do not use the Alt+Tab feature.

One monitor is a program i run (remedy) the other monitor has outlook and IE with our instant messaging running to the side.

never used Alt-tab and just keep one Firefox window open with a bunch of tabs.

I never use alttab either.

My position is virtually impossible to sneak up on though so it's never really been an issue.

gigs, I'm jealous....my screen is facing down the corridor...awful. ALT-TAB is a must....as well as keeping the open screen reallllllly small...

The mirrors help a ton! haha

I don't have the means to take a pic but I am facing out and there's an interior window I can see people coming from one direction, and looking through the door I can see people come down the corridor in the other direction.

I've been known to just leave BSSMB up by accident though when I go to scan or photocopy something. It's only a matter of time before someone comes looking for a folder or in here and sees me in the PB.

I did up an Excel sheet ages ago that pulled the index page into Excel so I could keep an eye on new posts, so I could then go in on the browser to see the new stuff. That worked well for a while, actually. And unless someone got close enough to read, it looked like text/numbers in columns from a distance.

Thanks for the feedback gents. Given me some ideas.
