Slowly becoming true. Maybe Carter though. Obama is just becoming impotent. He's got the majority to pass whatever he wants, but he's split his own party.

This is the biggest non-story ever, except that now Chicago might have a chance of hosting the 2016 Olympics.

I'm sure the video of those punks beating the kid to death over the weekend will help with their bid.
You're right though, him going to Copenhagen is not that news worthy. However congress trying to get illegals covered instead of send home should be.

Trying to extend the school day and year won't end well for him.

Yeah but that sort of think happens in Rio all the time. Tokyo has already had a summer olympics and Madrid you'd have to worry about bombings from the Basque separatists. So it's a wash.

That video is pretty sad though.

Because kids can vote and their parents don't want them in school for longer?

I don't think a lot of Chicagoans want the Olympics do they? Regardless, I see nothing wrong with this trip, though the carbon footprint he is leaving behind can't be good.

Ronnie B..........Nixon's presidency wasn't a complete failure. He started pulling us out of Vietnam, he opened relations with China and he signed affirmative action into law. Much better than Carter's legacy of interest rates and gas lines.

its funny considering on obama indoctrination day last month you were all about kids are the future now they don't matter. the only group obama has are the youth, the poor and lugnutslike wacko's. extending the school year takes away the youth. unless they wont vote next go round?

I'm guessing the FB thread got blown up:

That Chicago video is horrific. Fucking kid was walking to his schoolbus.

Then there's this doozy from NYC:

So everyone is fine with American kids being the dumbest in the world then huh? Good to know.

Sure teachers are going to have a problem, but most work another job in the summer anyways. Keep them in school longer, pay them more. Done and done. Any teacher that takes a 2.5 month vacation in the summer doesn't get any sympathy from me.

Let's see those stats that show that America has the dumbest kids "in the world."

well, that's a little bit different from what you said 5 minutes ago.

the school day is the same length as it was when the US was ranked #1.
