Well if I pretended to like someone for a long time and then don't go to their going away lunch I like to think that it really hits home with them.

If you don't like the person don't do it, you won't feel bad after about a minute. The only time I felt bad and gave more than usual was when they passed around an envelope asking for a wedding gift because the guy and his wife were looking to get some new furniture. There was literally, $4 in the envelope when it got around to me and half the names had been checked off as received it. That should be a sign to quit.

I HATE it when people in offices ask for this type of bullshit. I never once have had someone pay for the new tires I needed on my car by passing around an envelope. Fuck her.
