Annual state of Irwin's meeting tomorrow. My boss (friend) loves to schedule it on my day off because he knows Im hurting on Friday at 7am. Just told him its on....all nighter and coming in drunk!

We have had people come in here for interviews and, despite several of them being very qualified, they had not a single question about our company/dept/job when we asked them. Not one single question, despite being herded in this direction. No questions = thinks he knows it all or doesn't care enough to bother to ask = Fuck you buddy, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Sounds stupid but little shit like that be the difference in who gets the job sometimes. Not standing up to shake hands or not shaking hands at all is also a big get the fuck outta here as well. Limp wristed sally shakes too....

I hate limp wristed handshakes. I did my research on the firm so I had a ton of questions, but her presentation was very thorough so she answered a ton of them. I still had 3, 1 of which made her pause and think for a few ticks, and another that she got super excited about which I'm guessing is a plus. She's already emailed my recruiter, so...now I wait.

1st: Something about the particular in the area of law, that she fully couldn't answer (nor should she be able to, honestly).
2nd: Does the stigma of big firm hierarchy hold true in the office?
3rd: About the interaction between partners/senior counsel and lower level support staff.

She emailed the recruiter yesterday and said she liked me. Waiting to hear back about a 1st in person interview. Cautiously optimistic.
