On this date in 1994 the rage and fury unleashed on Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman by OJ (triggered by OJ being snubbed by her family at their daughter's recital) were seen by the world. OJ was never seen as the lovable Nordberg type ever again.

70 years ago today in the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub a Busboy lit a match to fix a lightbulb that was out in a dark corner of the Melody Lounge.... It was believed that the lightbulb had been unscrewed by a patron desiring more intimacy with his date. 492 people died in one of the worst fires in US history. A pretty fucked up read very reminiscent of "The Station", only with 5X the death total.
