Can't believe they actually got it done. But thankful they did.

good for the Red Sox....now all they need to do is get rid of Lackey, Valentine, Lucchino and Henry

Sure the dodgers wayyyy overpaid, but Gonzo will help them recoup all that money....easily

supposedly the Sox could have gotten rid of Lackey instead of Crawford in this deal but opted for Crawford since its more years and $$

Seriously? I don't like that. I think Crawford is going to continue to have a great career once he recovers from his surgery.

some media member reported that the Dodgers owner came to Henry with that trade a couple weeks ago (Beckett, Lackey, and A-Gon) and Henry turned him down.

Lackey only has 2 more years left at like $16-17 and Crawford has 5 at $20-21. I just ballparked those numbers but I think its pretty close.

The streak will never die. Fans are too die hard and this team needs to support now more than ever...

I have Friday's tickets and I may go only to take my little girl, who is so young and innocent that she actually likes going to Fenway. She could care less about the game at this point (neither can I actually) and the only thing that can be accomplished here it that I can teach her how to boo these stiffs. Maybe somewhere down the road I can tell her that she actually witnessed Bobby Valentine manage.

even opposing teams announcers are mocking the "sellout" streak

"I've been coming here since he early 1950's and I have not seen this place empty like this since 1965. If a sellout is announced someone is cooking the books"

-John Sterling - WCBS radio
The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

John Sterling sucks donkey dicks. Unlike Yankee Stadium, the Sox have had no problems selling out games and this series was sold out in February. Remember, the Sox are going on sold tickets, and people bought these tickets months ago anticipating a great series. Now? People wouldn't wipe their asse with them but technically the tickets were sold so the streak lives for two more games. Whoever they are playing next will be the 1st team since 2003 to have played for less than full house at Fenway Park, a pretty impressive display even if it is sputtering to a close now. Freezing April night games have been sold out for nine years straight. The "new" Yankee Stadium couldn't sell out if they give tickets away and should the Yankees be lucky to back into the playoffs the best seats will be empty for everyone watching on TV to see.

one of the empty seats tonight will be mine. I bought tickets back in Jan or Feb. $12 upper bleacher seats.

Sterling is an idiot if he thinks attendance and tickets sold are the same thing.

18 games remaining with only 5 left at home. Next weekend vs. the Orioles and the following Tues/Wed. vs. Tampa.
