Answer this for me..........why all the crap about Carl Crawford shutting it down? I understand he hasn't lived up to the big contract, but when you back away and look at the facts, he has a bad injury, this team is going nowhere but is not in such bad shape that new leadership, a couple of new player pickups and a new attitude can't turn around, so why not want him to get healthy for next year? Yes, they aren't completely out of the wild card, but realistically this isn't the Sox year.
Obviously I'm speaking for a national perspective but the perspective we've been given is that the locals were up in arms leading up to the shut down.
