2012 Fantasy Football

cut it back to 4 leagues this year.....

just found out I got the 10th pick in a 10 man PPR league. With WR being so deep this year and RB so uncertain, I have to go RB, RB.....right?
It is what it is......

When picking that late, my only strategy is to see what the trend was to start. I'd at least consider going RB/QB, unless you think your opponents haven't realized Matty Ice is running the Run and Shoot now and will likely give you excellent value a couple of rounds later.

So I am stuck with 11th pick in 12 team league. First 10 picks might be Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Stafford, Calvin, Rice, Foster, McCoy, CJ2K, and McFadden in front of me. For RB's it looks like Forte and MJD will be best available. Don't love either. Don't love Larry Fitz who is #2 on most peoples WR rankings. I don't know what the fuck to do. Next best QB on my list would be Vick.

I do like Julio Jones and AJ Green to blow up this year but I could get them much later. But they'll both be gone by my 3rd pick.

I'm fucked.

Some years that end of the 1st round pick is a good one. Not sure if so this year. I do know the WR class is deep.

AY, whats the deal with Julio Jones? Is he going to be the #2 fantasy WR this year like some people are predicting?

He's shooting up draft boards.

I have pick 11 and 14 and I'm considering him at 14. I don't like any of the RBs that will be there. So I guess its between Larry Fitz, Jones, or one of Graham/Gronk (I'd take Graham over Gronk) for me at 14. I will probably end up with either Forte or MJD at 11, unless someone can sell me on Demarco Murray.

I don't like Fitzy this year (at least no that high)

Forte is a good pick. People that are afraid that Bush will take away goal line carries (he will) need to look and see what Forte did last year with Barber as the goal line back before he got hurt. Remember Barber had a bunch of TD's

I like the risk/reward of Run DMC....he stays healthy, he is a top 5 back

I might roll the dice in my 10 teamer and go Forte and Run DMC

I think part of the hype behind Jones, besides the fact that he is a fucking stud, is the run and shoot offense in Atlanta, running up the values of White, Jones and Ryan. If they are going to sling it around that much Harry Douglas or another receiver might have some value at some point, too.

I'd almost think he'd be around at the end of round 3, but you never know when someone is going to reach after the latest hot name. At the 11/14 spot, I'm probably looking at some combination of QB/RB. WR is deep this year(at least that's what I keep reading) and even if you whiff on Julio there will be others. And if you are not playing in a PPR league, the WR values drop a little anyway.

well CJ2K unexpectedly fell to me at #11. Went with Julio at 14. We only start 2 WR and 2 RB's, no flex, standard scoring.

11 - CJ2K
14 - Julio Jones
35 - Greg Jennings
38 - Rivers
59 - McGahee
62 - A Hernandez
83 - Tate (not really any starters left at this point so went with best back-up)
86 - D Wilson (NYG)
107 - Helu
110 - R Hillman (McGahee handcuff)
131 - C Palmer
134 - Crabtree (yuck)
155 - Seahawks D
158 - Matt Bryant

Was Jennings simply a best available, too good to pass up pick? I only ask because you had 2 WR's, there are only 2 WR spots and no flex. The good news is you have some trade bait there for someone who might have drafted well at RB but are unhappy with their WR haul.

Jennings is my WR2.

Chris Johnson my first pick. AJ Green went the pick before Jennings. Would have loved to get Green there.

Ok. I was reading it as Calvin Johnson. My bad. Pretty solid.

Just got offered Brandon Marshall and Nate Burleson for Demarco Murray and Pierre Garcon

No brainer right?

My RB's are McFadden, Mathews, Murray and Sproles, Benson and Wilson

my WR are Megatron, Maclin, Garcon and Wayne

Its a PPR

I would drop Burleson and pick a flyer off the wire like Ty Hilton
