Best thing he ever did was marry that pig.

I swear, it upped his value somehow.

lee's contract was rescinded meaning he was free to go anywhere. The fact they got anything for him was a good move even if it was a last man on the bench guy in johnson (who has a chance to be a player) and a second round pick (no chance to be a player lol) I am willing to bet there was not a long line of suiters willing to give up even that much for lee.

I really wish D Howard gets into a freak accident and can't play again. Nothing to serious maybe he just catches a case of Greg Oden Knee Syndrome.

huge that LA keeps Pau Gasol ... stern might finally get that Kobe/Lebron final..

Who would Boston fans pull for... 2 in a row for Heatles passes their new big 3 .. but 1 more Laker title would tie Boston with 17 and since Lakers all already ahead of them in every other stat (wins, winning %, playoff wins, finals appearences, etc) LA would have claim to best nba franchise ever ...

got to think this is one time Boston would root for Lebron and Heat .. okc might have to wait a lil longer

my hatred for LBJ and Howard would cancel each other out, i'd go for Miami because of Wade. Don't see them stopping Howard and Gasol though. Lakers win the next 2.

Serious question, how much of an upgrade is howard over bynum for next year?

Howard is a bitchassdude, but he's not soft and not overly injury prone. Scale of 1 to 10, bynum was a 7 and Howard is a 8.25...IMO.

Bynum is going to continue to be plagued by injury, which is unfortunate considering his age. He hasn't show that he even wants to develop a much stronger offensive game (yes I know he averaged a dbl-dbl last year). He's a big body with quick-ish feet, but that's partly because he's young. Never been impressed by him, personally...but he's also never had an older big man to teach him the ropes.

Howard is fast, strong, great defender, can post up, block, jump out the gym and he's only 26.
Whores til proven otherwise. And they so rarely do.

Now when Westbrook blows by the perimeter defense he has to contend with Dwight. Still not sure Lakers get past OKC, but I like LA's chances vs. the Heat if they get out of the west.
The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

I think it is a decent upgrade...especially on the defensive end. Bynum had a tendency to play soft....alot...not so much for Howard

Bynum averaged 3 blocks a game in the playoffs and was .22 blocks per game lower in the regular season. I know that blocks does not always tell the whole story and I am not saying that they are close in defensive ability but the drop off is not that much. It is not like they went from Robin Lopez to howard. Perk has done pretty well with howard in the past but my main point is that they did not upgrade that much IMO. The upgraded more going from sessions to Nash.

I'm going to agree with both of you .. Howard is an upgrade but reason LA scares shit out of me is Howard and Nash will work great with each other. Adding Nash and howard alone are nice but combining is sick. i agree LA matches up better to heat then okc. I like the fact miami div may now be the worst in nba history ..seriousely wiz might be second next year... atl and orlando rebuilding and bobcats are bobcats ... LA will have much tougher road in west. i think Bynum helps philly .. they will annoy boston again.
