I don't think the two up here qualify, but I'll send them a fruit basket and see if they are receptive.

Saw savages yesterday .. very entertaining and think most on this board would enjoy...however totally implausible in the sense that if you are willing to take on the mexican cartel for blake lively your fucking nuts lol .. she is hot but cmon take on the cartel...the mexicans are the best part of the movie with benicio and hayek having fun with their roles... Tim Riggins is at least decent here after 2 bombs earlier this summer but i found myself not giving a shit if the americans live or not which was prob not stones intent.

Also saw Beasts of The Southern WIld and while i doubt most on this board will ever see it (is only playing at kendall Sq.) I found it to be the best film I have seen this year.. Then again I have spent a lot of time in Lousiania and it is one of my favorite places... You will hear about this lil gem come awards time.

I liked it a lot. Del Toro was great, really ended up hating his character.

well end of weekend so I think its ok to put up a dark knight post .. wont give anything away.. really enjoyed the movie.. would not say its an all time great film but gives you everything you could ask for from a near 3 hours movie...never once looked at my watch... well acted and def leaves for conversation on what nolans political thoughts are ... liked the ending i think.. time will tell... def should see on a IMAX screen .. nolan actually filmed it for one specifically so why not.. went to 845 am show and was still sold out by start time..

Agree with DC.

Movie was pretty fucking good. Comparisons to GF3 are awful because NOBODY re-watches GF3. Maybe 'Jedi' is more appropriate: a somewhat flawed though fitting finale.

IMAX was sick. Caine and Oldman were great. Like DC said, never once looked at time, which is unusual for a 2:45 movie.

Was a bit jittery though at the Friday morning show after the news from CO (eyeing exits, giving everyone the once over, etc.). Pretty fucking sad to have to do that at the movies.

They should wait a good 10 years before the reboot (starring Jaden Smith and directed by Justin Timberlake, no doubt).

I am one of the nuts who loved GF3 ...not the whole plot but the final scene that mixed the opera with handling family business. The closing moments on the steps and the pacino scream was unreal... Sofia Coppola was terrible and that plus comparing it to part I and II which are 2 of the alltime top 10 will forever knock down this movie to a harsher view then it deserves.. as a stand alone film a C+ but as a ending to the GF trilogy B+ for me. It got nominated for best picture not a razzie.

GF3 was a weak gangster pic with a side of "Foul Play".
