Yep. Especially because C.J. Roberts was the swing vote, and the guy many thought would be the deciding factor (Kennedy) dissented. I'm looking forward to reading the opinion.

Also, the decision is 193 pages. I'll try to break it down after the 2nd or 3rd time i read it. Roberts likes big words from what I'm told.

From a former poster in the biz named after a sports team

In Plain English: The Affordable Care Act, including its individual mandate that virtually all Americans buy health insurance, is constitutional. There were not five votes to uphold it on the ground that Congress could use its power to regulate commerce between the states to require everyone to buy health insurance. However, five Justices agreed that the penalty that someone must pay if he refuses to buy insurance is a kind of tax that Congress can impose using its taxing power. That is all that matters. Because the mandate survives, the Court did not need to decide what other parts of the statute were constitutional, except for a provision that required states to comply with new eligibility requirements for Medicaid or risk losing their funding. On that question, the Court held that the provision is constitutional as long as states would only lose new funds if they didn't comply with the new requirements, rather than all of their funding.

It was Hillary Clinton who persuaded a jittery President Obama to carry out the mission to kill terror mastermind Osama bin Laden, a new book claims.

Obama canceled three missions targeting bin Laden before Clinton finally convinced him to pull the trigger, according to the book by former Wall Street Journal reporter Richard Miniter.

“Obama feared taking responsibility for a risky raid that might go tragically wrong,” Miniter writes in “Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide For Him.”

I heart Hillary.

Rand is within his rights to be a prick...but the topic is stupid in its assumption. The government has long since had the power to use force on its citizens. Started with Washington and the whiskey rebellion....sending troops to force citizens to pay taxes is significantly worse than saying it might be constitutional to use a drone to stop a terrorist attack/treasonous act from being acted out by a citizen of this country.
