The vast majority of state workers are just worker bees earning a livable salary and struggling to pay their bills like everyone else.

State jobs aren't great salaries but you're basically fire-proof. Bennies are decent but nothing crazy...unless you're a higher-up or have some serious loopholes to exploit. Which most employees don't.

I left two separate jobs at two separate state agencies because they were dead-end soul killers and my efforts to move up didn't work.
