Knuble is having his worst season and has been a healthy scratch the last 3 games. A change of scenery could work for him and I certainly wouldn't mind having him slip into the Recchi role. What Chiarelli does depends quite a bit on how bad Peverley is injured and how long he's out. Nobody I spoke with (or any of the hockey guys that I read) saw Peverley or Kelly coming here last year so if there is a similar deal for those types of players in the works I'm drinking the Kool Aid and am all for it and I'm pretty sure that if/when it happens we'll all say the same thing that we did last year. Huh? Who? That is their big move? It worked last year, Thomas is still healthy and if they get most of their parts back for the playoffs this team can do damage, obviously.

McPhee is going to say that, he's no dummy. He doesn't want to tip his hand but his horrendous production combined with 3 straight DNP healthy scratches would seem to indicate that they aren't exactly filled with confidence in Mr Knuble and that they know there is a market out there that could be tapped if he can get more than one team interested. Knuble has played for Philly too....

The glass half full crowd would say a sprain is better than a tear.
The uncertainty of Horton returning and now this injury mean there has to be a move made now, right? The depth is being challenged now and missing 3 good forwards from the team that won it in the spring as well as the experience they provided just can't be replaced by Caron and Hennessey. They could go with them short term but that lineup is not going to win the Cup for them.
