It's a good spot if you're looking to grab a slice for lunch, they usually have a good selection but it depends on the location. BBQ chicken is pretty good.

They blew up because they started in the Lowell area and when comparing it to the microwaved, cardboard, greek pizza that is served everywhere around there, it's top shelf.

How do you folks rate Sal's in terms of chain pizza?

They just opened a couple in my neck of the woods. I don't mind it.

I like it for slices but seldom get a pie. Basically get two big slices for $3.

I haven't been to too many of the 25 places listed, but the Lynwood is outstanding, and Doyle's in JP is pretty good.

Since I have a place 1/2 mile from home, my Friday nights are usually at the Colonial House in Norwood, where the bar pizza is very good (BS1 - give it a try some nite). 10-inch, thin crust. Piping hot w/ great toppings. With 3 or 4 Harpoon IPA's it is a perfect un-winding meal on a Friday night.

I absolutely love bar pizza and was looking for something comparable to Lynwood's in Boston, this is perfect. I'm going to have to try Woodys.
