RA saw you asked about Another Year on another media outlet it was good but sort of depressing and the drunk friend the oscar talk centered around was annoying..

Thanks bro. I'd rather a character make me angry (think Ginger in "Casino") than annoy me (the protagonists in "Attack the Block")'. Maybe I'll chuck in the queue.

How many awful movies will Brooklyn Decker be in before H'wood realizes she's not an actress?

Sandler helped her get #1 & "Battleship" looks well qualified to give her #2.

"Get Low" via Netflix DVD. Kind of blah. Recommend for Duvall die-hards & that's about it.

Finally got the LAN adapter I needed for my Blu-ray player to pick up my wifi (it was some older model that I got a good price on but still needed another piece).

So I'm fired up to have Netflix Instant on the BR TV---it's the 56"er (give or take a couple). Fucking love technology.

Watched good '70s flick on Netflix instant. "Blue Collar" with Pryor, Keitel, & Kotto. Paul Schrader's directorial debut about auto workers in Detroit and their shady union is probably Pryor's best work.

The 3 leads all hated each other while filming. Pryor punched Keitel and tried to hit Kotto with a chair. I'm assuming copious amounts of cocaine were consumed during that time.

This classic got slipped in as an extra on the Halloween 2 Bluray.

Kind of weird, as it deserved its own release.

"Senna" on Netflix Instant. Excellent doc about late F1 driver Ayrton Senna. Who I knew nothing about.

I haven't seen this, but will. He's one of the all-time greats and was my favorite F1 driver at the time of his death.

The in-car camera shots are incredible, even by today's standards. They put you right in the car.

F1 was auto racing when I was a kid. At least it seemed that way. I wasn't into it but for some reason had I car racing wallpaper.

'Moneyball' was entertaining. Jonah Hill was pretty good in the serious role. But I had a hard time buying the assertion that moneyball helped Sox win WS. Give it a B+.

'Best Worst Movie', about the atrocious 'Troll 2', was a pretty funny doc. Tells story of how movie was made and catches up with the "stars" (the female lead became the Crazy Cat Lady on The Simpsoms). Thanks to hipsters, it's achieved midnight showing cult status here (different story in London). Gets a solid B.
