I heard this insinuation from some media (i.e. Horton's getting all the love and none for Savard must mean they don't like Savard). Which, in my opinion, is bullshit. I think that's only because of the timing of their respective injuries. Savard was initially hurt well over a year ago, then re-injured in January. Horton's happened in Game 3 of the of SCF. Also, Savard has understandably not been around much so there's probably a dash of "outta sight, outta mind" at play.
I'm pretty sure Savard shed his bad reputation here well before the Cooke elbow.
