I don't want to make any predictions, but they'd seem to be a lock for the tournament at least if they just play their game. Once there, it is all dependent on who they are in a region with. They won't be a NC contender, but with the right path ahead of them they could be playing Sweet 16/Elite 8.

Maryland just hired one of top recruiters (aau scumbags) in the country. He's been at Kst (same guy who brought them Beasley). This guy is well connected in DC aau circuit. Maryland hoops will be a regular in the top 10 a year from now. Great hire. So much talent in that area and Gary Williams refused to recruit. Terps fans (scal) should be very excited about this

lose to them in the finals? lol

I'm looking forward to basketball season, though there is still the unfortunate side effect of meaning football is winding down when hoops is starting. BTW.....Georgetown coming down here to play Bama this year.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA has approved adding an arc three feet from the basket, inside which a defender cannot take a charge.

The organization said Thursday its Playing Rules Oversight Panel had approved several recommended rules changes for college basketball during a conference call Monday.

The women's 3-point line will move back a foot to 20 feet, 9 inches next season, the same distance the men have used since 2008-09. In both the men's and women's games, the terminology for fouls will be changed to match the NBA. Intentional fouls will now be called Flagrant 1 and flagrant fouls will be called Flagrant 2.

Women's teams will also test a 10-second half-court rule in exhibition games next season.

The men's and women's basketball rules committees recommended the changes earlier this month.

Dean Smith was able to adjust to a shot clock, let's see if rat face can adjust to limited flopping.

Does this get the MCA stamp of approval?

Gotta love Kentucky getting threatened by the NCAA for recognizing Calipari's "500th" win, counting his vacated wins in that total. They were legitimately pissed at UK and made them change his win total and everything.

Glad to see the NCAA with its priorities in line.
