Made it over to the south shore poker room today for the 120 dollar tourny and to watch the B's game. I thought it was just a tourny place but they do have 1-2NL AND 2-5 NL. Very nice place on the inside with a cop standing at the door. They had about 6 cash tables going but I opted for the tourny as I had only brought 150 with me.

Tourny had decent structure with 15k starting chips, 25/50 blinds and 20 min levels. Started with 7 tables. I ended up finishing 4th and made a couple dollars. Players were average with a couple decent players mixed in. I'll be back

good blog post about the powers that be shutting down online poker. Kind of a long read, but worth the 10 minutes IMO.

The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

You should know better than to trust gov't, especially when it comes to something like this.

DS has a much better, and realistic, take on it:

I've always phoned in my bets to a guy but am thinking of online action instead for football season. Totally ignorant about the sites, process, etc. anyone have suggestions?

Most local sites have a local connection/guy to see. You basically just put all your action in like you normally would with a bookie over the phone---you're just doing it online. End of week, I either pay or collect. No credit cards are involved or used (however, if you don't have a site hook-up, you might have to use CCs).

As for just picking a random site, Slick might now better than I. But It's typically cumbersome to pay/get paid.
