The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving is THE party night of the year. This segues nicely into drinking like a fish and stuffing your face while watching football all day long on Thanksgiving,,, then college football and the Bruins matinee the Friday after. Tremendous weekend for both professional and amateur boozehounds.

There doesn't get more amateur than wed night before thanksgiving. do you wear your lettermans jacket too? I don't know a single person who gets that loaded on thanksgiving other than new college students coming home for the first time. Hanging out with your extended family all looped isn't really a sick time to me, but to each his own.


I wouldn't put cinco de mayo in the amateur hour level but maybe that's because I've never know it to be THAT big of a deal.

NYE is bad because bars jack the shit out the price of everything and people still do it. Don't bars do the exact opposite for cinco de mayo? I remember super cheap specials in college but that's the last time I've celebrated it as if its something.

I always saw it as an excuse for chicks to wear slutty clothes as it usually just started getting warm.

I go to happy hour every day so I never get excited about any particular 'drinking' day. Agreed that I despise NYE and SPD, but since I always leave at 5pm I usually miss the shit shows.
