Does the trick for me in this little corner of the world. I like the Acapulco Sea Bass. Though I'm gonna have to hit up the new one they're building in the old Jimmy's location down the Squidport.

Trying to figure how Boston is unique, as compared to NYC... going to delis = fail.... the southie routine = weak. It doesn't make for good food TV, but one thing that seperates Boston from NYC is the college vibe. It may not be quality food, but Boston owns the ramen noodle, sardines, spaghetti Os circuit. Those kids could teach Bourdain how to eat for a week on $20 bucks.

Is there anything more obnoxious than people from southie telling everyone else how tough they are.

"Kids from Hingham get a beer and a beating when they come to southie, hahaha" Yeah, okay, you chubby, goofy fuck.

You're right that it can do the trick in a pinch, just haven't ever been blown away by anything.

Kind of weird that the sausage guy owns a couple of fenway carts and two Salsa's locations.

(the other is in hingham, to bring the thread full circle)

And my wording was off in my previous post.

By "new one", I didn't mean new Salsa's---I meant new Mexican joint.

I wish. I love the little dig that dude threw at fishermen too. "Hinghan - that's fishermen". My brother used to work for Timmy the Bat. If you dont know, look it up. Right next to the Carmine Romano crew at Hygdrade and Carlos Rafael. I'd love to see that dude mock fisherman down McArther Drive.

Of course, in the mind of Bostonians, everything white and outside Rte 128 is all Wally and June Cleaver... .

Go listen to some Tupac and pose in the mirror.
