just heard some serious shit on the radio since this whole online poker scandal went down....

not sure how true it is, but if your bank finds out you funded your poker account through your bank account they are now shutting down said bank account in order to comply with federal regs....someone called in and said his BOA account got shut down and has 40k in his Poker Stars account and pays his mortgage through automatic withdrawal at BOA.....

Crappy video poker, and other things like Blackjack, etc. Not the same as Poker Stars but you can bet(and win) real money. I've always used the blackjack table to build my account after a bad streak or cashing out.

I've always paid via credit card. Of course, it is a credit card issued by my credit union

More power to anyone who has that much cheese to do it, but you gotta feel like your entire life is unstable at that point right? I hear of online sportsbooks stiffing guys for technicalities over $10k. You gotta be pretty trusting to let it roll with that much dough on a site?

there are guys with MILLIONS online.....spread across a couple of different sites.....I was reading some of the blogs of poker guys and some are waiting it out, some are moving out of country, its rediculous.

you have to keep that kind of money in your account due to the nosebleed limits they play and the swings they endure

But yeah, its his fulltime job and he has like a 50 inch computer monitor.

I can't even wrap my arms around that kind of lifestyle. Be a millionaire today and be a piece of shit tomorrow. How do you settle on what kind of house or car you own? Even if you win 500k that money's just going right back into the hustle based on what BS1 pointed out. If you don't have a huge roll then you can't even get in.

This has always been intriguing to me. There aren't many full time jobs where the hazard is that you leave with absolutely nothing from one day to the next.
