Trying to figure how Boston is unique, as compared to NYC... going to delis = fail.... the southie routine = weak. It doesn't make for good food TV, but one thing that seperates Boston from NYC is the college vibe. It may not be quality food, but Boston owns the ramen noodle, sardines, spaghetti Os circuit. Those kids could teach Bourdain how to eat for a week on $20 bucks.

Is there anything more obnoxious than people from southie telling everyone else how tough they are.

You're right that it can do the trick in a pinch, just haven't ever been blown away by anything.

Kind of weird that the sausage guy owns a couple of fenway carts and two Salsa's locations.
