Too many characters to keep track of but good amount of tits and ass and beheadings.

Its going to be solid, and around for a bunch of seasons. Unlike Rome and deadwood which were both fantastic and too short lived.

Most HBO shows have "too many characters" at first, you just need a few shows to flesh it all out.

I thought last night's ep was awesome. Great opening scene to hook you in (exiting that giant snow fortress to find those crazy monster things) and great closing scene to keep you wanting more.

And yeah, titties. Nice, natural titties.

Watched the first episode last night but turned it off when the kid saw the blonde broad getting banged out. Did he die?

Agreed on too many characters. Beheading were kinda cool. Also agreed with the lovely tits everywhere and the midget have an orgy.

I LOL'd when the queen asked the ginger if she's bled yet and she had that perplexed look on her face.

From what I understand there are still like 3 more towns of people we have not met yet. I could be wrong.

The budget for this series has to be outrageous that is why I can not see it lasting. They were shooting in Malta for christ sakes.

They already got re-uped for season 2. Cost like 50 Mil to make or some shit.

What was up with the creepy bleach blonded siblings? Brother goes "I would let his entire tribe, all 40,000 men and their horses fuck you to get my kingdom back". Cold blooded.

Chick was thick...on the cusp of juicy.

I saw when he was stripping her on the clif or whatever, but I was nodding off by that point. I might watch on On Demand tonight if it's available. Just to get the full effect.

Most of the shooting was done in Northern Ireland and there's a lot of CGI. What's the big deal about Malta? This cinematic gem was made there:

There was never a popeye 2.

I am guessing on location shoots in multiple countries has to be more expensive then studio ones.

HBO hasn't been shy about spending if they think they have something on their hands. I bet they more than broke even on "Rome" after DVD sales, foreign distribution, etc.

Absolutely RA, and that is still on of my favorites. This is lord of the rings like which brings those geeks on board. Couple that with the usual HBO show freaks like me and they will have a great following. True Blood also gave them a lot of capitol to work with.
