Anyone hear that Callaway is one bad season from bankruptcy? Someone told me that their clubs have tanked and they don't have soft goods to fall back on like TM does with adidas (which TM has apparently crushed the driver market). No idea if it's true but it sounds plausible.

Got the real scoop today...after March TM had over 40% of the wood market but it hasn't affected Callaway sales dramatically. Apparently now that TM released the R11 fairway woods they're expected to have 55% share of the market.

R11 is by all accounts a phenomenal driver. Anyone get one? I need to. Been playing the 09 Burner for two years and love that....another 10 yards can't hurt.

Mk FWIW the manager of a great pro shop in my hometown is a parent in my daughters class. He told me on his monitor the new burner is testing better than the R11 and all of his pros prefer the burner.

for that kind of money I'd rather a surer thing.

Kids ranked 33 in the world and turns 18 at midnight.

Read an interesting bit about McIlroy going pro so early didn't allow him the opportunities that guys like Phil or Tiger had as amateurs to be in contention event after event and learn how to close out tournaments. Obviously it's not stopping Matteo any.
