Brian Goodman the director was in monument ave as an actor.. he is a real life tough guy I believe aka paulie walnuts..
I agree that was underated.. thankfully no mention of the D wahlberg/mcgowan mess that was southie..

Yeah, Goodman used to do scores then some time before he straightened out. I heard that Paulie was more an earner than a bona fide wise guy (my aunt's father knew him back in NYC).
"Southie" doesn't even warrant mention, nor does The Goondock Saints. That movie is about as "Boston" as "Far and Away" is.
I mean, it's a good flick. But it didn't blow me away or anything. Thought "Mystic River" and "The Town" were much better.
Simmons may have been indirectly responsible for me getting bleeped by the FCC.
