I'm not very optimistic coming into this year and nothing has changed. Soriano should be good over the long haul setting up, but you are right, the bullpen just isn't very deep. As far as Joba, they've screwed him up in his head so bad he'll have to get out of New York to gain consistency, or maybe he just isn't that good. He's had two good outings this year and one not so good, but it is too early to figure him out.
I still haven't figured out the whole Dave Eiland situation. So confused. They seem to have loved him, but then Cashman lets him go after the post-season, but said it wasn't the post-season pitching performances that got him fired.
Yesterday I have a meeting and I happen to wear a Yankees polo and the meeting ended up being headed by an old guy who just moved to Florida but is from Boston, so he obviously kept picking at me during the class. During a break he asked me why I haven't said much back. I told him I'm just not very confident about this season, and despite the Red Sox start, come October the Sox still win the division. I did tell him that for now, I'll just enjoy the 0-4 start while I can.
