Hurley would have been giving Rose a towel when he came out of the shower if Rose went to Duke. Hurley is a clown.

In typical Ronnie B style, why bother looking at results?

In the two years of the Fab Five they never won shit. Not even a Big 10 title.

Hurley's numbers and titles say he was the best 4 year point guard in CBB history. And I've always hated the guy.

whitlock was tweeting about this as well...

his main complaint was that Jimmy King was on espn the day after the doc still expressing the same opinions jalen said he felt at that time.. whitlock asked jalen to shut jimmy king up for sounding like a fool. when others got on him saying this was from 19 years ago whitlock posted link to kings comments in 2011. Bottom line fab five is a lil hurt they could not beat duke, I can't stand duke but this is one time I agree with Hurley, G hill etc

But Duke still recruits the same type of players, black and white, no?

Way too many sanctimonious sportswriters are jumping on Grant Hill's side for my liking. However, he does bring up a good point of perceptions among fellow blacks. Unfortunately he'll just be ignored for "sounding too white". lol

I don't think you have to be 2 parent household middle class black to get recruited by duke.. but i do feel they will avoid anyone they think may have character issues..

coach k started recruiting for athletes after it appeared program was falling back a bit in mid 90's

Maggette and Avery are the two guys I remember as being outside the typical Duke player.

Mk is absolutely right about Hurley.

Jalen Rose was a better high school player . Jalen Rose was a better college player . Jalen Rose was a better Nibba player. Jalen Rose banged more broads. Jalen Rose is worth a lot more money. Jalen Rose is a better Nibba analyst.

Jalen Rose >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bobby Hurley all day every day.

Oh and he was right about Duke not recruiting inner city kids back then.

That was back in 1999. It's no coincidence Coach K hasn't recruited any more "street" kids since then. Maggette got money from his AAU coach. Any other school would have gotten penalized for that. After that I think K said, why bother? They don't need the one and done kids to be successful.

The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

Calling Jalen Rose a better college player than Hurley is Ronnie's worst BSSMB statement ever.....and yes I feel comfortable saying that.

Have you looked at Hurley's Duke career? I agree with Mk- he had the best 4-year college career of any PG in the modern era. What exactly did Rose do during his Michigan days?

Based on the number and type of people who heavily praised Hill, I came to the conclusion that it was just a more erudite and crowd-friendly version of Chris Rock's legendary bit.

I hated G'town before the Fab 5.

EDIT: LOL at Cambridge being "inner city".
