Just now remembered that I made an acquaintance at a bachelor party in Sept who runs a place with games 24/7 not more than 15 mins. from my house. Tracking down his # now. I hate driving to CT and all set with Seabrook/Rock games.

so my degenerate itch got the best of me today.....made the trek down to raynham and check out the poker scene......you know, where they donate to charity.

Anyways, its only a 2o minute drive, so i figured wtf. I get there and they had (5) 1/2 NL tables....I hit the ATM and was suprised I could only get 200 out....whatever. I sit down and scope out the scene and come to realize that of the 9 people there, 4 were nits, 2 were clueless and 3 had a good understanding of the game. In other words, not a real good table, but i digress.

Max rake is 6 bucks on any given pot.......3 dolla rake on a 30 dolla pot, etc. No rake when no flop is seen. So all in all, not a bad deal considering.

3 hands of note....the last I ALMOST went Phil Hellmuth on someone

about 5th hand in I raise in middle position to 11 with 44....one caller (SB). I flop a set with 3 spades. SB checks, I make it 17, he calls. Turn was a blank. SB checks I make it 23 (probably could have checked or bet more), he min raises me, lol. I know im beat at this point. Hoping the board pairs on the river, it doesnt. SB CHECKS!?!?! really? i gladly check behind he turns over Q 2 spades. He said he thought I had the A high flush...LOL

About half an hour later I have QQ in the BB. Tight player 2 from the button makes it 12, folds to me, I smooth call. In hindsight I should have repopped it to 30 or so and the donkey would have shoved i fold...in any case flop comes 9 high, I lead out for 18, he shoves for like 200, hahaha....I fold my QQ face up and he shows AA. I say thanks for saving me money

another half hour later I wake up with KK on the button, live straddle in play. Early pos player makes it 12, next guys goes all in for 35, next guy smooth calls....so with 80 already in I do the safest thing and shove for my stack of 180, standard. Original raiser thinks for about oh 30 seconds and hesitantly calls the 180!? he turns over JJ! sucker!!!

Oh wait a J hits the flop.....thats when I almost went hellmuth, lol....FML, awful play gets rewarded. I asked him if he was an innanet poker player as I exited the building.

went to MGM / foxwoods tues night

ate at Alts Strada in MGM it was pretty good

there was a Survivor tryout - lots of weirdos there including people that slept there overnight in sleeping bags and whatnot

bought in 1-2 for $200 was down to $35, get Aces w. the button. Someone bets to 10, another person calls, I go all-in for $35, small blind just calls the $35 (he has Kings), big blind raises to $125 (has Queens) the original $10 bettors fold, I'm already all-in, small-blind goes all-in for like $400. Guy with Queens who raised to $125 thinks about it for like 5 minutes and folds. I win the main pot for like $125ish and eventually get up to $700 and change. I like stories.
