Yes, they took it in the ass regardless of what they had to report to NV. Divide that paltry # by the hundreds (thousands ?) of casinos in Vegas and they lost, some much worse than others. It was a well-liked favorite (vs. a villainous 'dog in Big Ben) that covered and the game went way over. Throw in parlays, teases, and the fact that 80% of guys play faves and those guys got fucked.
