This is what the NFL gets for playing God with the weather. Fuck 'em.
Falling ice from the roof of Cowboys Stadium injured seven people, one critically, according to a report by the Dallas Morning News.
The NFL confirmed the accident, which occurred at 1:15 p.m. central time. Five people were taken to local hospitals. The area around the stadium, which will be the site for Super Bowl XLV on Sunday, has been blocked off.
Snow and ice in the area has crippled the North Texas area and today sheets of melting snow and ice began sliding off of the roof and landing 200 feet below.
“The ice and snow melting off of the Cowboys Stadium roof has caused several sliding snow falls onto the plazas,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an e-mail to the DMN.
