Back to the Future: The Game (PS3, PC, Mac, iPad)
Price: $24.95 || Official Site
Fire up your DeLorean and get ready to piss off some Libyans, because it’s time to celebrate Back to the Future’s 25th anniversary. Telltale Games is doing it the right way by blessing fans with the first BttF game since 1991...and what a game it is. Broken down into five episodes (the first of which drops this week), this classic-style adventure game takes place after the third movie, when Marty returns from 1885 to a world without Doc Brown. Just as Marty begins settling back into daily life, which we imagine is full of Huey Lewis dance parties and guitar solo practice, an empty DeLorean shows up and Marty is once again summoned to save his Einsteinian-haired buddy from being stranded in time. Both Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd have lent their likenesses to the game (Lloyd voice acts too, Fox has a spot on voice double because, you know, the whole tragic Parkinson’s disease thing), and it’s good they did. Back to the Future without THE Marty McFly is like masturbating without clown porn and a wizard hat; it just doesn't work. Anyone who’s been less than patiently waiting for the next installment of the Back to the Future series can finally put the kibosh on inventing their own flux capacitor. Whether true fans will love or hate it, only time will tell. Bet you didn’t see that pun coming!
Recommended booze while playing: A single can of Four Loko. It can produce 1.21 gigawatts AND have you waking up 20 years in the future.
