find $200,000 cash OR go back in time to when you were in 8th grade and know what you know now

EDIT: but you wouldn't know the outcome of events I.E. you couldn't bet money on stuff

Go back.

Where'd you come up with 200k?

Go back to 8th grade and it's not close.

8th grade through 10th grade kind of blew though. But I'd still do that probably. It'd be tough getting rides from my parents and having a shitty curfew and all that.

$200,000 just ain't what it used to be.

200k.

would put me in a financial position to not have a whole lot to worry about as long as I kept my job which I enjoy.

200 large ain't a lot today. But where I'm at in life right now (mid-40's, married, no kids, healthy balances in retirement funds), it would pay-down about 2/3 of my mortgage, and we would probably use cash to pay-down the remainder. And thus, free of our only debt, we would certainly be able to enjoy life a lot more, perhaps allowing one of us to semi-retire at 50 or so.

If went back to age 13, I would certainly have had a lot more fun in my H.S. & college years, and would certainly be more prosperous now.

But I'm happy where I'm at now, so that little boost would go a long way towards making my remaining time even more enjoyable.

I'll take the $200K.

middle school and high school were awesome. No clue where I got $200K. I didn't want to say a million because I'd take a million easily. For $200K I'd probably go back. And RA I thought of this when you posted in the PB that you wish you were 17 again.

if you said 200k or back to 8th grade with an extra 4-8 inches of height I'd probably go back.

As fond as I'm sure everyone's memories seem it would be too much of an adjustment go back to any time pre-license.

I got my license junior year, as did the majority of my friends. That's when things got fun.

8th grade was fun? Puberty & HJs behind the gym. Sweeeet.

Good points all, but taking the bus to school? School in general?

EDIT- I'd still do it unless mcm was willing to up the ante.

I took the T to school in 8th grade. But my life would be very different if I could go back to 8th grade knowing what I know now.
