Call your bank. Ask for a payoff.

Just call and ask for a payoff . They'll tell you how much you have left on your lease plus what the payoff is with the residual.

RB is right your payoff is the number of payments left X amount of payment + the residual value that has to be clearly marked on your lease contract. If that number is close to the wholesale or trade number on kbb.com you are in business.

total left plus residual is just about the same as trade in value for "good" condition.

Then do your research and find the invoice cost of the car you want. When you go to the dealer tell him he has to give you your payoff and you will buy the new one at this price. He is going to balk, but stick to your guns and leave....let him simmer, if its close you will get a call the next day. If its too much then just go back and haggle the most out of them as you can. If you dont like it..... you are in a lease and can afford to wait.......he needs to move cars. Let him come back to you.

3K is propaganda to keep you coming back.

Used to be 3 k but advances in filters and oil quality including synthetics. 5-10 depending on the model with synthetic being 10 k usually. I dont think there is a current manufacturer that recommends 3k

@5k

7500 with full synthetic, maybe more.
