IIRC there have been losers who have sold their annuity to others (figure that one out) so I don't think that's true....might depend on where.

Never heard of that. The sell would have to be for more than the lump sum, right? Or less than the lump sum but greater than the total after tax deductions? Weird.

No the one I remember is the guy spent his money too fast and got into so much trouble he had to get rid of the continual stream of money.

The guy I read about was typical white trash. Gambling, drugs and buying shit/passing out money to every other loser.

lol in his defense it must have been tough for the guy to find friends. He created a one person demographic.

Simply, you get more money from your winning ticket over the long haul.

Also, I'm looking at it from a gambler's perspective. I won so I want what's coming to me. Sure, it's more than I'll ever need. But I can help out less fortunate people directly. Fuck the state.

Honestly, I'd rather hit it on the first or second drawing of a new jackpot so you can fly under the radar much better. It's still more $ than I'll ever need.

AY, I'm throwing the red flag. Pretty sure a person can leave it to their spouse.

I could be wrong. Like I said, I heard that before but definitely not from any authority, and I sure as hell don't have any jackpot winning experience to draw on personally.
