Kings May Be Opening in Burlington
An entertainment facility with locations in Boston and Dedham that features bowling, billards, food, and drink is apparently planning to open a third location, with this one being in the northern suburbs of Boston.

According to The Boston Herald, the group behind Kings (The Lyons Group) is looking at a space across from the Burlington Mall in Burlington as the potential site for another Kings location. The article states that the site used to be a car dealership, but it does not mention the name of the former dealer--an article we had posted in the fall had mentioned that a chain of restaurant and video game arcades called Dave & Buster's has also been looking at a former car dealership space across from the mall (Burlington Dodge) for a new location of its entertainment spot, but we have not yet been able to find out whether both places are looking at the same site (keep checking back for updates here).

Kings first opened in 2003 in the Back Bay of Boston, with a second location opening at Legacy Place in Dedham in the early fall of 2009.

I've been to 3 and 2 of them had bowling alleys. Just figured the third one didn't have one because it was on 42nd street and it didn't have space.

I could be totally wrong and gone to the only 2 D&B's with bowling alleys though.

Either way, I won't be driving up to Burlington for D&Bs or Kings. The Back Bay Kings is cool though I probably go once every two years. I was raised candlepin.

1) There was a candlepin place in my hood? Why can't we have nice things in 2011?

2) As much as everybody says it's "New England's game", I never saw a candlepin until I moved here. Not a game found in Burlington. I grew up with big ball, and still play every time I visit, because my buddy manages a bowling alley.
