U.S. National Guards eye C-27J

ROME, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- The Italian air force looks poised to provide training to U.S. National Guard C-27J pilots.
The intention comes as the Italian air force has started training pilots for its C-27J tactical transport aircraft on a new full- flight simulator moncler günstig, the Defense News Web site said.
The C-27J moncler donna, which was designed as a smaller version of the C-130J moncler günstig, has been sold by Finmeccanica to customers including the United States.
Manufactured by Finmeccanica unit Alenia Aeronautica, the simulator has been installed at the Italian air force's Pisa Base, which operates 12-C27Js and in theaters including Afghanistan moncler italia, Defense News reported.
The C-27J Spartan turbo-prop has been selected for the U.S. forces Joint Cargo Aircraft program. The United States is also buying G222s, the C-27J predecessor, refurbished by Alenia, for delivery to the Afghan armed forces.
The 10-ton simulator is the first of its kind for C-27J flight training. It provides panning 180-degree vision and 45-degree vertical vision with a database covering all of Italy's territory. It is understood that the simulator will feature Afghan terrain for its simulating training.
Having teamed with the New York's L-3 Communications moncler herren daunenjacke, Alenia is expected to supply a full-flight simulator to the U.S. National Guard.
"Alenia will supply software while L-3 will build the platform under a contract signed with GMAS moncler für kinder, the same Alenia/L-3 joint venture that was formed to act as prime contractor for the sale of the Italian aircraft in the U.S." Defense News reported.
The U.S. system is expected to be ready for delivery within a year.
"National Guard officials visited Pisa a few weeks ago and they may use the simulator here as they wait to receive their own moncler offerte," an Italian brigade officer told Defense News.
The move comes as the Italian firm has said it would like to sell the C-27J transport aircraft to China after a U.S. bid recently to sell C-130 aircraft to China.
China "is a country we are focusing on," said Finmeccanica Chief Executive Officer Pierfrancesco Guarguaglini. "America has decided that it can sell the C-140 transport aircraft moncler billig kaufen, which means we can sell the C-27J."
The U.S. administration has asked Congress to lift a ban on export licenses for Lockheed Martin C-130s. The military transport planes are expected to be used by China for operations to clear oil spill at sea.
Italian military officials concede that talks are underway with Denmark and Qatar for the use of C130J simulators.
"We continue to seek to share these simulators with other operators," said Gen. Tommaso Ferro Moncler daunenjacke, second in command at the Italian Air Force Command.
